During the International day, we learned about people that were in poverty. I realized that we all can make a difference and those people were in needed of our help. We also did loads of interesting activities that morning.
First i didn’t understand why the theme for the International day was “A day in The Word’s Shoes”. After the speech from Cross Road i began to realize the important of the theme. Later on that day we did an activity where we need to make papers bags and than sell them to the shop keeper for money. All families have to pay the cost of food, rent, sanitation, school, and medication. The cost of food was 100 dollars, the cost of rent was 180 dollars, and the cost of sanitation was 30 dollars. While the school cost was 500 dollars and the medication was 50 dollars. I thought that thisĀ activity was fun and very hard. Another reason why this activity was hard was because we all have to be quick at making papers bags, and paper bags are not really easy to make. We also had to make enough money to feed our families and keep them free from diseases to be able to survive.
At the end of the day i felt the pain of those people who had to work at a really young age, compare to us. They all have to fight through all the obstacles that was standing in their waysurvival. Each of them have dreams and goals like all of us have and it’s really hard to accomplished in that condition, but i now believe that they all can do it if each of us help. We all can make a difference for a better word. to be able to survive for the next day. I also learned that conditions doesn’t matter to them as much as their
