Virus
A virus is a man made program or piece of code that causes an unexpected, usually negative, event. Viruses are often disguised games or images with clever marketing titles such as “Me, nude.” A virus is also a small piece of software that piggybacks on real programs. For example, a virus might attach itself t
o a spreadsheet program runs, the virus runs too.
Phishing
Phishing is a type of deception designed to steal your personal data, such as credit card numbers, passwords, account data, or other information. Phishing involves email or pop-up messages appear that claim to be from a business you may deal with. For example, an internet service provider, bank or online payment service. The message may ask you to ‘update’, ‘validate’, or ‘confirm
‘ your account information. Phishing attacks use email or malicious web sites to solicit personal information. You shouldn’t reveal personal or financial information in an email, and do not respond to email solicitations for this information.
Worm
Computer worms are viruses that reside in the active memory of a computer and duplicate themselves. They may send copies of themselves to other computers, such as through email or Internet Relay Chat (IRC). A worm is a small piece of software that uses computer networks and security holes to replicate itself. A copy of the worm scans the network for another machine that has a specific security hole. It copies itself to the new machine using the security holes, and then starts replicating from there, as well.

Trojan Horse
A Trojan horse virus is a common and difficult to remove computer threat. A Trojan horse virus works by hiding within a set of seemingly useful software programs. Once installed in the system, this type of virus will start infecting other files in the computer. It usually is capable of stealing important information from the user’s computer. The developer will then be able to gain a level of control over the computer through this Trojan virus. While these things take place, the user will notice that infected computer has become very slow or unexpected windows pop up without any activity from the user. Later on, this will result to a computer crash.
